simply the thing i am shall make me live.
Jan. 12th, 2008 11:25 amso, i've been intentionally wallowing for a while. it's been working out pretty well. i'm very slowly feeling myself getting a bit more social, so i expect to be back to dealing-with-other-humans form in time for arisia. (yes, i'm going. yes, kjc and i are planning to have our by-now traditional saturday evening party.)
my eyes are healing well. i passed with flying colors at my 1 week followup. i'm still occasionally weirded out by not needing glasses. and i still occasionally reach towards the headboard for my glasses as part of sitting up in bed when i wake up. in my defense, it's often dark, so i can't necessarily see that i can see; plus, i'm sleepy.
i'm still sporadically low on deal. some days i come home and go to sleep very early. sleep is not a bad avoidance behavior as these things go.
i'm waking up from my fugue of grief enough to realize that holy crap, entropy has been having its way with my surroundings. i've been fighting it this morning, tossing trash, collecting recycling, and attacking countertops with ammonia-based cleaners. (this last necessitated wearing safety goggles since i can thing of few things my eyes want *less* right now than spattering with ammonia.)
i bought "rock band" for the 360, and set it up last nite to test it out. silly and fun. it's being a motivational carrot for cleaning up and getting stuff done this weekend. which is why i'm not playing rock band at the moment.
