answers to questions previously asked of me
diagonti: that would be lovely! some time in feb, maybe?
firni: tea and cake, please.
kathrynt: i have no idea. possibly for the same reason you watch really bad television?
koshmom: sure! some time after arisia, maybe late jan/early feb?
dfjdejulio: an exercise in vulnerability, i think.
dhs: 'cuz.
gayathri: that would be cool. i'm so glad you're clearly thriving in SF. too bad for boston, but good for SF!
spazzkat: it seems utterly normal. mostly because i grew up around here, so it's set my expectations of normality. i'm enjoying it greatly, tho. the cats had a bit of a rough time adjusting. i brought them over on a flight once i had a place for them to be, so they had a very unpleasant flight where they were drugged and moderately grumpy, and then were so freaked out they kept hiding under the blankets on the bed for days. they got used to it pretty quick, tho. although one of them was kind of freaked out by paddle fans since she'd never seen them before. since i'd bought rather than rented, i didn't have the trouble of trying to rent with cats.
terreciel: pretty well. definitely on the upswing. how're you doing?
lyonesse: possibly. a lot of it is just inertia and slackfulness on my part. do not attribute to intentional action what is adequately explained by me being an utter slug. :)
flabosib: some time in late jan early feb, maybe? sorry, i've been *incredibly* hermity. i only emerged for kc's visit because she was in from out of town.
fain_fraser: hmmm. in order:
1. since i'm not sure what you are familiar with, i'll give you several possibilities. are you familiar with cake? they're fun i'm not familiar with all of muse's stuff, but their song "super massive black hole" is bump-and-grind-alicious. shiny toy guns has some fun stuff that's been getting radio play on fnx. and my most recent interesting musical discovery is kate nash, who is a british chick who does almost spoken-sing-songy songs about relationships falling apart. "foundations" is the song of hers that's been getting some radio play. also, great big sea, carbon leaf, and common rotation.
2. i don't know. find something else to do that's more difficult so you'll avoid it by writing? :-)
3. my mother used to threaten her children with crucifixion, but, you know, were were catholic. i think the traditional maternal weapon of your people is guilt. (seriously, it's an incredibly difficult job, and i'm impressed with anyone who can do it well.)
4. yeah. he's scary. of course, many of the republican candidates are scary, each in their own way.
5. i'm not sure. edwards has annoyed me the least, so far. hillary is too ... hillary. obama is a bit young/inexperienced. i have decided that hillary/obama or obama/hillary would be the ultimate ticket to make certain right winger's heads explode.
6. nope. i'll just wait for the MA.
7. i have no idea. i'm not a big fan of cauliflower.
8. holding up okay. not great, but in spec. slowly emerging from my little hermity hiding spot.
