boring update
Oct. 30th, 2008 01:57 pmso, yeah, still recovering from the trauma of the move. the cats are still a bit freaked out. i know how they feel. it's still pretty awesome though.
clauclauclaudia didn't even attempt to hurt me when i said something like "you know, are we sure about this? maybe we should reconsider" as the movers were starting to haul things out of her old place.
i skipped the 'open enrollment review of benefits changes' meeting at work because i didn't trust my ability to NOT flame them about things. and really, the hr folks here are multiple layers of food chain away from anyone who can even remotely do anything about it. so it doesn't actually help to bitch at them. short form: less paid time off. fewer and lesser insurance options.
they haven't done the bullshit "oh, yeah, now you only get an HMO. no actual insurance" crap my previous employer did. (that's the thing that inspired me to leave there, actually, and come here.) so that's something, at least.
