same as it ever was
Apr. 7th, 2011 02:07 pmi am setting up a firewall in my cube here at work to muck about with. so i need an address space behind it. i don't have a good grasp of what rfc1918 space is and is not routed in tufts, so i used an address range out of a public ip space i knew wasn't being publicly routed: 128.127.0.0/16, which is the old ftp software class B network. it's not routed as far as i can tell (checking looking glass servers out there) and in fact i'm pretty sure the address space is lying fallow with no live organization listed as the owner of the space, ready to be reclaimed when iana starts actually doing that.
