So, I took this week off. Mostly chilling, doing some stuff around the house and making a point of doing some creative stuff, too. I made the key of Erebor for
clauclauclaudia on the 3d printer at Artisan's (pic below), and I have some other prints scheduled (tiny dinosaur skulls!) later in the week. Booked some time on the laser cutter at danger!awesome because *both* laser cutters at Artisan's are offline (sigh). Finished the 'sewing machine wrangling' class I was taking at AA Monday night having managed to successfully make a pair of pj-type pants. Bought the paint to do touch-up on the front stairs of the house before winter comes and I scuff it all up again with the shovel. Planning on digging into my old sewing machine and seeing if it's workable or needs a tune-up.
Spent much of Monday, though dealing with a sick kitty - Nikita (seen in the userpic for this post) was very unhappy and *very* constipated Sunday and Monday (and possibly for longer) so I took her in to have the vets deal with the issue. Bloodwork came back and her thyroid levels (which are high if left unmedicated) are fine but her liver values are way higher than they should be. Weighing just scheduling an ultrasound so they can look at her liver vs waiting a few weeks and doing more bloodwork to see if it was a fluke. Of course, if they're still high then there'd still be the ultrasound needed, so, I'll probably just schedule the ultrasound. I expect to have to navigate the line between "reasonable treatments" vs "it's an 18 year old cat", and it makes me sad to think about it.
