So, I have this built-in air conditioner sticking out of the wall in my office. Up until recently, it had some hardware cloth type mesh tacked over the opening so that birds wouldn't get in and nest. But some time last fall, something hit the a/c hard and tore the mesh off. (I think it also hit the screen on the window below it because that also ended up with a big tear in it.)
I need to get someone to tack up more mesh stuff before some local bird notices what an awesome spot it is. Any recommendations? It's in a slightly awkward spot.
The alternative will be for me to finally figure out how the a/c is secured in the opening (after removing the two clearly visible screws, it still won't budge), pulling it inside and then repairing the opening from the inside. (or maybe just sealing it up if I've got the a/c out since I haven't used that one in at least 10 years.)
