I know it's probaby a split-second freak-out, but seriously - when you have regular gas, you don't look like pale, watered-down misery sprawled on toast, moaning quietly in pain.
well, it was a bit worse than plain old gas pain. this was double-over OW OH MY GOD kind of pain, but then it stopped hurting (well, after a couple of bouts over about half an hour). so, yeah. definitely not cancer.
my current theory is 1. something really bad with dinner. probably a chicken wing since claudia had no distress and she ate everything i did but the chicken wings. 2. a really bad reaction to a new (to me) sweetener i tried in my tea yesterday (although i'd had a smaller dose before with no ill effects, so either it's not that or there's a sharp knee in the graph of the tolerance i have to it).
xylitol. i've been drinking way more tea, so i've been experimenting with a variety of sweeteners to find something that makes the tea sweet without making it too sweet.
