see, i sort of thought so, too. but a few years ago when i broke my foot, it wasn't a full break, just a hairline break, and it felt kind of like this has been feeling.
If it is a hairline or a stress fracture, and it is recent, it will not show up on an x-ray for some time (basically until it's started to heal -- the fracture's too small to see, but the new bone tissue shows up). But if it's a hairline fracture, there's probably not fuckall they can do about it.
