i won't need surgery on my knee. apparently there's nothing torn badly enough to require intervention with knives. i'm delighted.

i still need a followup appt to figure out what measure of non-surgical stuff i need to have done, but apparently the mri showed no major meniscus/ligament/whatever tearing.

woot.

Yay, no surgery.

If they don't "prescribe" a Physical Therapy regimen, insist on one. My left wrist/arm would be totally borked if I didn't do the PT after my surgery religiously.

well, no surgery is pretty much always good news. Good luck with PT or whatever they send you to. BTW, if this is something where pool therapy would help, ask for it! My hip is improving rapidly with just two 30 minute sessions of pool therapy per week.

YAY! And I third the PT advice, once they figure out exactly what IS wrong.

Yay! I hope this means they've found a non-invasive way to actually fix it. (-:

Maybe you should change your name to "Chester". And learn to say "Howdy, Matthew".

Yeah. obscure refererence to a TV show from before you were born. Just think giant walking carrot.

Good deal on the no-surgical-intervention-required. As for other interventions, think about doing as much of your own intervention as you can. Maintaining a functioning body is usually not so much what you need to have done as what you need to do.
