what a wonderful lazy weekend! not much in the way of productivity, but there was homemade pizza and movies and catching up on "six feet under" in preparation for the season premiere and lots of loafing and cuddling.

life is good.

the crust turned out better. still not great, but definitely better.

the pizza overall was quite tasty. some slightly caramelized onions, garlic, and sausage, with plenty of mozzarella and a bit of parmesan, and instead of tomato sauce some alfredo sauce.

the main problem with the crust was the edges of it -- i'm thinking brushing it with more olive oil just before baking would help.

Which does prompt the question of, "What temperature are you baking them at?" If it's high enough, it should brown without drying out, if it's too low, it might dry out more easily... but the oil might work, too!

i preheated the over to a little over 500 for a half hour or so to get the stone good and hot, and then cranked it down to 400 or so for the actual pizza baking.
