rmd | vacation part 1.

i decided to use a few vacation days and took yesterday and today off from work. tomorrow should be a light day, so i'm going in rather than burning a vacation day on it.

things i have done on my vacation:
1. crochet'd a hat.
2. started playing Team Fortress 2.
3. installed a cat door in my bedroom door (among other things, this means that i'll be able to a/c the room without a/c'ing the whole house next summer)
4. physical therapy
5. went shooting with a friend of mine.
6. mailed a couple of booksforsoldiers.com packages out that i was mailing directly rather than having books shipped from amazon or something.
7. bought christmas cards to mail out this season.

i've started on hat 2 (hat 1 was a draft, basically). the cats have all gone in and out of the cat door (i took the flap off to start with, so it's just a rectangular hole in the door, and then shut the bedroom door so it was the only way in and out and expected that the cats would want to be in the room with me and would figure it out).

i'd say it was a successful loafing-about vacation. next up, thanksgiving and then part 2 of the vacation (i'm taking *next* monday and tuesday off as well).
