any of you local folks selling at the MIT flea?

conversely, if i bought a space for 7/20, anyone want to help me and bring a pile of their own crap to sell?

mostly i'm looking to get rid of a pile of computer parts i've got, ranging from old memory to motherboards and the odd sound card.

ETA: i suppose the other possibility is to put together a box, list what's in the box, and post it to craigslist for "$AMOUNT or best offer." this would be much less work, but potentially less profitable, depending on what i've actually got.

Do you suppose they'd have a use for 13 billion used-but-still-working monitors?

dunno. i am told monitors are getting hard to get rid of. clearly, we need to come up with a bunch of cute-but-ironic projects housed in old monitors so that old monitors can become the new altoid tin of the Makezine/Boing-Boing set.

Clearly.

We should get started on fish tanks, immediately. And possibly...um...

Dunno.

Dioramas. You could do extremely cool dioramas by emptying all the stuff out of the monitor and using it as a frame box.

i'm cleaning out my machine room tonight (in theory) and will probably have some old crap to get rid of (though not enough to bother renting a space for, though i'd contribute). however i expect i will be working on the 20th & can't help either :/

Know of anybody who'd be interested in an old VT320 work-alike manufactured by C. Itoh? I've had this thing since before my move to Boston and it has a shockingly low utility/space ration. :-/

Would love to be involved in this project (we have *way* too much old computer crap) but it's H's bday party that day and we're going to be swamped. Good luck!

actually, trust me, it's not your kind of flea market. Mark's, maybe. but it's pretty much just radio, computer, and general electronics junk. a "ham radio swapfest", basically.

I think you just killed my spirit. No shoes? No vintage handbags? No 40s dresses? No pottery from the 60s with daisies? NO WIENERDOG DECANTERS?

NO WIENERDOG DECANTERS! (at least, i've never seen or heard of them there. i suppose one could try selling them there but i think it's probably the wrong audience.)

my god, they shouldn't even be allowed to call it a flea market.
