oh, netflix, you wacky thing

now that i have more bandwidth at home, streaming on netflix is a reasonable thing to do. (previously, it wasn't, really)

lately, i've been using it to watch bad (and occasionally good) video media on my laptop while doing boring work around the house. sorting thru old financial paperwork to dump what's no longer necessary? putting away dishes? now accompanied by police procedurals and cheezy 70's movies.

i had not, until i watched it recently, realized that jonathan demme had written "black mama, white mama". which led me to discover that he wrote and directed "caged heat", which is now in my netflix queue. oh, netflix.

Go look up "Maverick" - not the movie, but the black and white western TV series. Its been remarkably addictive.

The one thing I've noticed that I really don't like is that the content seems to be censored?? I was watching the first episode from "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" and every single bad word was omitted out.

That really ticked me off.
