i finally got the electrical work related to my porch finished. which means the electrical inspector can do a final electrical inspection on it, which means the building inspector can sign off on the porch.

just under the wire, as i think the permit expires in late march.

NOT THAT I WAS PROCRASTINATING. oh, wait, that's exactly what i was doing.

i have to say, it felt nice to finally check that off of my list of crap i've been delaying.

whoohoo ! i think my permit is so far past it's sell-by date that it's mummified in the back of the veggie drawer. go you !

I did notice you still had the inspection sign up when we dropped by the other day, and was wondering if that represented some odd sort of full-scale scrap-booking or what. ;-)

Congrats! I've yet to actually get house numbers up on our "new" porch.

i haven't got house numbers up for real, either. the old house numbers are held up with masking tape at the moment.
