Yeah. It was right across the street from Los Alamitos HS, I believe it was on Los Alamitos bvld. Just a shack, but they had *hamburgers* that were so god-like good... Every time I went out there I would stop by, and this one woman who worked there thought I was Jim Carrey.
I wonder if she wonders what happened to me since I no longer go out. Hm.
Curious is good, I think (unless you're a cat and the curious is about what's under the kitchen sink that the humans keep locked--no our children haven't done anything, Apollo likes to try popping the cabinet door to see what the humans will do. I guess we're well-trained....)
Sonic franchises are very common here in New Mexico. In comparison with McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc. they offer a fairly large menu of junk food, including burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and other sandwiches, along with ice cream desserts. Think of it as a slightly downscaled version of Dairy Queen or a substantial step down from Friendly's.
In my experience, the franchises vary a lot- there's much less uniformity than you get with McD's or BK.
If I moved back t the northeast I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to find a Sonic drive in. Then again, my fast food reviewer credentials may have been revoked in recent years...
