well, it looks like the strange dampness in my basement may be from a leaky roof. the damp is right next to the chimney, so I'm guessing the flashing is leaking.

dammit!

Cool! Glad you found the source, hunting down roof leaks is incredible. I sometimes think there is a wormhole in my shed roof.

Flashing makes for a fairly easy repair, if nothing else. I hope it's that easy.
