right on cue, my other eye started freaking out.

*sigh*

my eyes look like i have the rage virus from 28 days later. warm moist compresses are great for soothing the discomfort, and hopefully the antibiotics are doing their thing. i'm making copious use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer to try and keep from sharing with anyone else.

tomorrow is a work-from-home day, methinks.

Ouch. Do you have the drops or the ointment? At least once treated conjunctivitis starts clearing up quickly. Working from home tomorrow would be the friendly thing to do, but probably yesterday or today you were at maximum contagiousness. Hope you feel better soon!

I know that everyone's got that 'Oh, I had that' story to share, but...

Um...

I had eyes that looked almost identical to them there. And after cold compresses, and a bazillion drops, I finally got an opthalmologist who used a black light, which picked up a bit of flourescence, and he diagnosed a fungal infection. I never had goopy discharge or anything like that, just swollen, shiny, edematous itchy eyes...

yeah, the folks at the walk-in clinic i went to the other night used the dye and blacklight thing to look for extra-freaky stuff, so i think i'm okay on that.

the eyes are looking much better, and compresses are keepign the swelling and itchiness down, so things are improving.
