I spent part of this morning mucking about with excel for various EOY things.

Even knowing the power of compound interest, I am occasionally staggered by the power of compound interest.

Hopefully you're being staggered by earning interest rather than paying it. For me the power of compound interest only seems to work in the wrong direction.

i'm used to feeling rogered by being on the giving end of compound interest. but i had an opportunity to look at being on the good side of it, which was nice. instead of "well, crap, this is what i'm really paying" it was "hey, look at that! neat!"
