got a bunch of stuff done today.

it's always a bad sign when i let bills pile up. it's not that i don't have the money, it's that i end up slacking off. not paying bills is like some sort of "i'm not taking care of myself and my life" early warning system thing. so i hunkered down and went thru all the crap on the card table downstairs and threw out all the stuff that was (or had become) trash and then culled out all the bills and paid them.

and i even had stamps, although i need to buy more. luckily, i think the post office is selling "carnivorous plant" commemorative stamps or something equally cool.

Awareness is cool. It's cool to see that other people have 'early warning signs' as well.

oh yeah. a while back my shrink told me a great idea -- figure out all the things you do when you start to slide into depression. and pick 5 or maybe 10 that are the best "early warning signs" to be aware of them. like, maybe it's running out of milk so you end up with no milk for your coffee in the morning or something. it was a great exercise to do, and has helped me figure out that i'm heading that way before it gets too overwhelming.
