The tenant's cat has been placed with pets in need. I still owe them a donation, but they have the cat. Everything else, pretty much can be handled by means of work and money and does not involve the wellbeing of surprisingly sweet kitties who had the bad timing to be adopted by a guy who died.

yes!
their web site was very clear that they were not taking animals, so i hadn't been planning to hit them up, but i did drop them a line because i thought the cat might've been adopted from them and so maybe they had some medical on it. turns out the cat wasn't, but they remembered the tenant from the several times when he would come and look at kitties to maybe adopt. they volunteered that they could maybe take the cat and i was delighted.
