I'm actually fairly okay with that. I figure they're doing it to make a statement about gun rights rather than because they're expecting to need to use it.

I'm much more worried about the I'M A GUARD REALLY I AM PRACTICALLY A COP mall security types. the type who've watched "bad boys" a few too many times and are waiting for their chance to have a big gunfight and take down the bad guys in a blaze of glory.

honestly your scenario is more likely...I'm just being snarky...but the issue of an overadrenalined armed security guard is more likely to lead to tears
