Okay! There's a mediocre-but-likely-sufficient parking spot in front of my house, now. There's still snow, but I think I've moved enough of it that a not-huge car could try to get stuck in the remaining snow make a valid parking spot. And if not now, then soon.

GO GO MELTING WEATHER.

we're back down close to freezing starting tomorrow, but all of the melting we've gotten has made a huge difference.

if nothing else, many of the snowbanks are now shorter than I am, so it's a bit less like I'm under siege and hunkering my way through WWI style trenches when I walk around.

I just went out and stomped on my nemesis, the really slippery ice-patch at the corner of the house that tries to kill me every time I take the dog out. I am hopeful that it will be melted away before the freezing returns.

I was kind of hoping that the melting would melt all the snow from by the Somerville Theater, such that the marathon-watchers would then not be queuing on a field of solid ice.

However, I'm not necessarily optimistic about that, now.

It is nice to kind of have more of the sidewalks back.

Oh, don't I hear you.

And, of course, today there is ice everywhere. *sigh*
Remind me why I live in New England again?
