Via [livejournal.com profile] evwhore: A heck of a kids' book: Go The Fuck To Sleep. You probably shouldn't actually read it to small kids.

Yes. My kid's too old for picture books, but he's not too old for this heartwarming message.

Yep. Even at 4, 11, and 11, my kids will most definitely benefit from this heartwarming tale...

I have added it to my to-read list on GoodReads.

Thanks for sharing. :-)

*snerk* Who dares me to put this on the baby registry?

Definitely best paired with the Arrogant Worms's song, Go to Sleep, Little Leech (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp2MfLCnMtU). :)

I don't remember giving the 'rents trouble about getting to sleep. I suspect they wouldn't have tolerated it.

Here's a link with a bit of content:

http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/04/07/the-case-for-having-more-kids/

"1. While parents often lose sleep for years, getting kids to sleep through the night is not hard. Real experiments confirm that the Ferber method — let your baby cry in his crib for 10 minutes, briefly comfort him, leave, repeat — works wonders."

For a book that's not due to be released until October, it's doing very well. At the moment, it's #27 on Amazon's top 100 book list.
