Yep. The car had been parked for a week and a half, and i'd made a couple of short (>10min) trips, which I think was enough to drop the battery too low. It's 7 yrs old, so maybe it's time to replace it. I'll see how it is after a few days of heavier use.
A seven-year-old battery is probably at the end of its life.
If your car spends a lot of time sitting, you might want to get a Battery Tender (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DTN-022-0150DLWH/) (tiny charger). Modern cars eat up the battery's charge (alarm, radio, engine computer, ...).
