Saturday afternoon I was feeling a little low energy, which I chalked up to back troubles. But then partway thru what had been a fine party, around midnight, I apparently got hit with food poisoning. It was less dramatic than I think of norovirus being, but still sucked a lot. After my stomach completely emptied itself as best it could (in installments thru the night) I got some sleep and can now manage to sip water and nibble saltines.

yeah, i know there was some norovirus around. i just generally expect norovirus to be a bit more dramatic, but all i did was puke a bunch and now i seem to be able to keep down saltines and water. so if it's norovirus, i got off easy.

It's been going around the greater community for a couple of weeks now and this is the first I've heard someone say it's noro, so I don't know if it's that as such, but yeah, I'd guess you had the stomach bug, Regis, since your description matches many of the bouts I've been reading about.

honestly that sounds just like noro to me. Sometimes it has bidirectionality, sometimes not. Food poisoning takes longer to clear than that.
