I'm used to the problem of buying a whole bunch of socks, and then they all start to get holes around the same time because they're all about the same age. I'm not used to thinking of this happening with sheets, too, but both sets of the sheets I bought at the same time a bunch of years ago have started to fall apart.

I find this happens with lightbulbs. Since all the lightbulbs in the house seem to blow out around the same time and thus are replaced all around the same time.

We recently blew one of the bulbs on the track lights on the cathedral ceiling in the living room. It means getting out the TALL ladder and getting up there to replace it. I had a feeling the other one on the same track would blow soon and a week later it too failed.
