I just read Bechdel's "Are You My Mother", which is an impressively meta book and very good. If you're thinking of reading it, I will note that I cannot imagine reading it without having read Fun Home first.
ETA: holy crap. TORNADO OF FIRE. I can't imagine how terrifying that must be to encounter in person.
