heavy rains today == more dripping from my ceiling. i think the roof guys need to take a closer look. (I'm wondering if it's the flashing around the chimney, personally)

Could be. The leak in my roof was at a rafter, and went about 5 feet along the rafter before dripping down. I almost missed it.

Water can go pretty interesting distances. Flashing is a definite possibility.

Is there a crawl space between ceiling and roof? If so, that's the place to leak peaking. Tarp the floor of the crawl space, check the underside of the roof.

good luck! We have the same problems. Next time you might want to drill a hole or two to allow it to drip before tearing down the ceiling.

Sump-pump on the roof, maybe?

Flashing gets my vote.

Yeah. It's also one of the cheaper options, I think. *crosses fingers*
