MORE POWER, BIG JOHN BIG-BOOTE!
Nov. 2nd, 2012 01:04 pmSo, I woke up this morning and ended up thinking about what it would take to set up a portable set-up that would let me drive my truck somewhere and be a "community charging station" for people to charge phones/laptops/etc if there were a prolonged outage in this area.
For my own use, I could probably cobble somethign together based off my power boombox, in particular so as to keep my sump pump running in my basement.
I guess ideally I'd want an interver (this model includes a battery charger), at least one deep cycle battery, and a battery isolator for hooking it up to my car or truck without fucking up said vehicle. Assorted wires and connectors.
Not a bad idea. I might end up wanting to set something like that up as a UPS for my sump pump, actually.

Really nice, turns off for low voltage, and starts anything I have. And $80 bucks, good buy

Yeah those things are wicked cool
