Anyone have a good solution for handling shared passwords? I could hand out copies of a password safe file, but is there a better solution?

Secret Server. It's a pretty damned good little system.

Oh yes. I even use it with my auditors to provide chain of access verification. With passwords changing constantly, a policy to only store in SS, and the ability to audit all requests, I wind up with a fairly good way to say "X got the password for Y, here is the audit log in SS, here is the audit log on the destination system, here is the differentials if any".

They are impressed with it as well.

I know nothing about it, other than it exists, but there is open source app called "KeePass Password Safe"
http://keepass.info/

(there's a WebOS client for it)

It's no doubt a TOS violation, but something like LastPass with a shared password. Like KeePass, it's an online pin vault.
