dammit. my basement flooded at least somewhat during last night's monsoon. i'm guessing it was so wet so fast the sump pump couldn't keep up with it. not sure what to do about this. maybe it's just something that's going to happen occasionally. grar.

it's fine now - just some dampness on the concrete at the low parts. but still. grar.

There really was a great deal of water really fast last night. I was surprised when I went to put out my garbage and realized it was full up to about a foot!

Indeed, some weird weather lately. Didn't quite flood here, but the gutters were full of water at times. Check your gutters and the land around that corner of the house, water might be flowing towards the house and not away.

On a related note, my work shed on the hill had water flooding it this evening on part of the floor. Apparently the solar panels stacked in the back allowed water coming down the hill to dam up and top the foundation. Which is a massive amount of water btw, but did it RAIN.

So much so that I flooded my electric car's battery pack while driving home this weekend. Which takes almost a foot of standing water to do...

So when did these downpours become the new normal?
