I'm having that moment of realizing "crap, I signed up for a cookie swap and now have NO IDEA WHAT TO BAKE."

The best strategy largely depends on the rules of the swap. Like, some cookie swaps say they have to be "holiday" cookies, i.e., no chocolate chips.

The swap rules are simple - no marshmallows, nuts, or fruit in the cookies, which I'm okay with. I could just make chocolate chip cookies but that seems a bit boring. Last year I made sugar cookies for the same group. Maybe I'll make trilobite cookies (http://www.georgehart.com/trilobites/trilobite.html) with a non-fruit filling.

Actually, I just checked and it's specifically no walnuts. So peanuts are still a go. Hmmm.

Peanut Butter-Oatmeal Sandwich Cookies (a bit of work, but yummy)
