so, after cancelling plans with me (yet again) earlier in the month, my folks made plans to come up and have lunch and see my house (which i've owned for about a year now) for the first time yet again. this time, saturday lunch.

as soon as the phone rang this morning, i knew they were cancelling again. turns out my stepmother is sick. also, it's raining pretty hard down on the cape now (and raining non-traumatically up here) so between the two factors they opted to cancel.

My dad behaves sort of like that - and it sucks and hurts. I've talked to him about it, but at this point, I figure that I just have to take what I can get from him. I wish I could wave a magic wand and have him change. Oh well.
