last night, claudia and i went to see the hours, which was excellent -- not a bad performance in the bunch, and the filming of the three storylines just meshed wonderfully.

then we went to a friend's place and watched the japanese film ringu, which was incredibly creepy. i'm tempted to see the american remake some time. (hey! i just noticed that the american version stars naomi watts. cool.)

The American version is set here! (That's "in Seattle" for any casual readers.) And: it's the creepiest fucking movie I have ever seen. I was glad that 1) I went with annathepiper and 2) that I went during the day. Because damn.
