the local "oldies" station has transitioned to "all xmas-holiday music all the time" as a format for today.

listening to that, i discovered santa outsourcing i hadn't previously been aware of. apparently, the reindeer are incapable of traversing the mountains in italy, leading to "dominic the christmas donkey" filling in when santa visits his paisans.

i had no idea.

Of course he does! It's to meet demand from Wal-Mart and the other hypermegaconglomerates. Santa's a small-time player in this new economy.
