red sox and gambling and lost opportunities

you know, when i was out in las vegas this summer, i was in the bellagio and took a quick break from poker to go grab a sandwich at the nearby snack bar. i ended up eating it next to the sports book, and remember noticing the lines for betting on teams to make the pennant and series. and i briefly thought about making a couple of bets on the sox, just for nostalgia's sake. but i didn't. ah well.
