how were things at your polling districts? my brother called to tell me that his polling place in boston was a *madhouse* with huge lines, and this was at 7am.
I got to my polling place (in Alexandria, VA) at 5:55AM (5 minutes before it opened at 6AM), and there were about 200 people in line ahead of me. It was busy, but not hectic, if that makes sense. The line moved smoothly, there didn't seem to be any snags in the system (other than perhaps a slightly less-than-idea line flow through the library). I was out of there by 6:40, at which time there were about ~300 people in line.
I'm very glad I chose to go before work, and to get there as early as I did, instead of afterwards!
