i keep forgetting that it was only 8 years between "Griswold v Conn." and "Roe v. Wade".
the first overturned laws preventing doctors from discussing contraception with patients. the second legalized abortion.

I really think there is a huge gap in the current generation regarding understanding reproductive rights - really even in OUR generation. I truly think a lot of women (let's not even get into the men at this point) believe that the "abortion" argument is just about the convenience of terminating an unwanted or unplanned pregnancy. I do not think they truly understand the history of our struggle for reproductive rights, and how it means everything. Life. Work. Education. Happiness. Everything stems from controlling our reproduction, without that - we're just caged animals.
