my neighbors across the street usually start putting up their profoundly large and fabulous christmas decorations during thanksgiving week, and then start lighting it up the day after thanksgiving. here's what it looked like a few years ago:

it's two days after thanksgiving and there's nothing out there so far. they've got a couple of bits of holiday window hanging art things on the inside of most of the windows that face out to the street, but that's it.

next time i run into them i'll have to ask if they've given up on it for this year or what.
