Not bad! Going to see my friend Jess do an author signing in a bit for her first book, in a group that contains Greg Bear, Octavia Butler, Julian May, Robin Hobb, and a bunch of other cool people, so that should be fun. (The UW Bookstore is a nice institution.)

Stressed

I have a paper to write for a teacher that hasn't taught us anything who grades very harshly. I have to fix up my first paper to her so I can actually get a grade. Finish these by Tuesday. I have plans for Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday and am leaving Thursday for Philly. The new paper is due to be sent Saturday and the re-write I have an extra week on.

I have a little one sick with a cough that needs steroids and is getting over bacterial conjunctiveitis. This afternoon he took a fall at day care (all his own fault) and needed three stiches in his eyebrow. I held him through the whole thing and listened to his scream knowing there was little else I could do.

How am I?
Overwhelmed and stressed. I'll be glad when Xmas is over.

Aside from the politics and working on the house (which I hate doing), pretty well. Now if I can get UW to pay attention to me, and we don't have to move, maybe I can get somewhere next year!

What does this mean "if I can get UW to pay attention to me, and we don't have to move"?

Got a cold, which sucks. (Sick and tired of being sick and tired...)

Otherwise good--cats are health and seem happy. Two weeks off from work starting this weekend. Maybe I can actually begin to think about Christmas shopping...

Kinda stressed and overworked, right now- seasonal defective disorder showing itself as bouts of anxiety and inability to concentrate. Grr. I need to get exercise and take a vacation- after these projects get delivered.

I'm doing pretty well for being pregnant. I got my NT results today ( which is a screening for genetic problems ) and the results were very good. At my age I have 1:230 risk for Downs, and my results were 1: 20,000 after the testing. Now I can move onto worrying about other non-genetic problems!

Went out to the companystore today and almost had a PTSD feeling or something. Feeling like I need to work except A) pregnant, B) toddler at home. So how?

Getting excited for Santa to come on the 25th and make my girl happy - this is the peak year I think, because mostly by 5 you start to have some logical doubt about the whole sleigh-whole world thing.

Pretty darn me-like, really. Nothing spectacular one way or another. Closing in on the last days of the semester. Having two weeks off afterwards. Angsting a bit about money and wishing I could afford a Mini Cooper S or RX-8 now instead of somewhat later on.

How the heck are you?

Thought I was stressed, until I saw some of these entries. :) Trying to finish baking Xmas cookies for husband's family so we can ship them off before we head out to spend a week with my family (they also require some cookiefication but I figure I can deal with that when we get there). Had a server upgrade last night and ugly, panicked downgrade today & tonight.... wheeee.

Life's good, overall. I'm feeling extra pudgy and need to get to the gym, but before that I need to do laundry. I just need to stop feeling so tired when I get home from work.
I'm able to afford to go to Further Confusion 2005, so I can see all the friends I left behind in California.
I miss amq a lot.

So how you doin'?

it occurred to me this morning - one huge advantage of a truck is that you can carry tall things that wouldn't fit in an SUV. this may be a contributing factor to your decision. (it's one reason i prefer my truck to an SUV)

I'm doing pretty good. Celebrating the holidays by helping my baker friends put cookies in boxes and ship them all over the world. If the entire year was like December, they would have died from overwork by now.

Aside from that, I'm coming up on 1 year of addiction to Anime. I wonder if they make it faster than I can watch it?
