wow. that was gross.
Feb. 11th, 2007 07:32 pmso, yesterday, i was doing some cleaning in a room upstairs. and i spilled some tea. i mopped it up as best i could, but i just knew the rug was still be nasty. which made me realize i'd never shampood most of the rug up there. so it was probably extra-nasty. cats have horked on it over the past 5 years. who knows when the last time was that these rugs were cleaned...
so today, i vacuumed and then ran the rug cleaner over much of the rug up there. and then i had to clean out the rug-cleaner.
that was some nasty nasty stuff.
and now i'm waiting for the rug to dry so i can wiggle my toes in the clean rug.
bonus: found a bunch of not-vile-scented candles today on sale for wicked cheap and picked up a few. i'd been on the lookout for good ones because i was nearly out.

Not that it is unjustified: having tried yours and gotten one ourselves, I know whereof you speak!

Date: 2007-02-12 07:46 pm (UTC)BTW, were I you, I would shampoo it again if it was that bad. Two times is akin to putting an extra coat of paint on. It can't hurt, and it will most likely be more effective.
