ooh, as tasty as expected.
Nov. 8th, 2010 11:54 amSo, as I mentioned the other day, i've been planning on making some ginger syrup for easily making ginger tea-type beverage. and so over the weekend i sliced up 4oz of ginger really small and put it in about 4c water. brought it to a boil and then simmered for somewhere between 20 and 25 min, then let it cool a bit and used the water to make not-quite-so-simple syrup. As the syrup was cooling, I threw in a bunch of lemon zest (about half a lemon's worth). it is *awesomely* tasty mixed in with hot water.
