career pondering

i'm on my second career now. soon i'll be due for a career change into career number three, but i have *NO* clue what career #3 might be.

which makes it difficult to try and bring it about, you know.

The trouble seems to be that all the careers that appeal to me for their intrinsic worth, you know, the kinds of jobs that you'd do for love alone... you end up having to do for love alone. Plus maybe a stale cheese sandwich. Crime may not pay, but doing good works doesn't do much for the pocketbook either, alas.

Still, in my 'employment haitus' I'm really enjoying imagining all the jobs I could apply for that would really feed my soul, not just my bank account.
