quite often, after i make a pot of tea and i'm emptying out the filter basket full of tea leaves, i feel guilty for not composting my compostable waste.
*sigh*
not only do i not have much yard to use compost in, i pretty much lack space for a small composter. but still, it seems a waste of perfectly good browns.

Date: 2004-01-16 07:17 am (UTC)Worm composting may not mind tea (if you adjust the pH with... I think it's lime) and you can get a small bin that fits under the sink. It's not smelly if you treat it right.

Date: 2004-01-18 09:02 pm (UTC)Of course, even with worms, you still have to remove the completed compost periodically. But really, even if you don't have a garden, there are worse things you could do with a bucket of worm shit than to throw it on your lawn.
