but pretty much everyone local on lj has mentioned the ice.

while the cold sucks a whole lot, as long as i don't need to do a lot of walking outside, i generally prefer it to the oppressive gray in seattle. this was the time of year that always got to me out there -- it was STILL DARK ALL THE TIME. whereas today it's bright and sunny with a cloudless sky, and the light is reflecting off of all the frozen snow.
