so there's this cat. and there's a box. and the cat is in the box. and maybe something's happened to the cat, but we can't tell. except, really, there's no cat and no box. there's a probability wave. and it's hanging there, like a big kahuna wave, ready to crash down. and there's not really a wave. but anyways, there's a cat in a box and maybe the cat is alive and maybe the cat is dead but the cat is neither alive nor dead until that big kahuna wave comes crashing down and the probability wave collapses and then the cat is alive or the cat is dead.

so, the cat isn't alive and the cat isn't dead. at least not yet.

but, i've got my ear to the box, and i think i can hear the cat. i think the cat is alive.

in some way, i've opened the box, except i can't actually tell if the cat is alive or dead -- i'm not qualified to tell how alive this particular cat is. the cat *looks* alive, now, to my unskilled eye, but then again, it might be a zombie cat.

i'm holding out my hand to it and saying "here, kitty kitty kitty"

heh. hopefully not.

i had schroedinger's CAT scan yesterday. i'm not a radiologist, so i can't be sure, but it doesn't *look* like there's anything inappropriate lurking in there. but i'm not a radiologist, so who knows for sure, yet.

oh, the brain part i posted was from a hopefully unrelated part of my body. we're more concerned with the abdomen. i just thought the picture of brains was pretty cool. (there's some variety in grey, there, indicating that there's *something* between my ears...)
