money makes the world go around
Dec. 9th, 2002 08:47 pmso, i'm going to vegas later this week. and i got a bunch of money out of an ATM earlier tonite and now i have a stack of previously uncirculated $20's, all consecutively numbered and shiny and perfect and new. they even smell new.
i'm fondling and sniffing them and fanning them to feel the texture.
i'm such a freak.

I remember nights working the summer blockbuster season at the movie theatre, and holding thousands of dollars in my hands..
money, even boring american greenbacks, still feel good. especially new ones ;)

Date: 2002-12-09 08:03 pm (UTC)I secretly love Las Vegas. It's such a monument to blatent excess and style over substance. That can be fun, once you come to terms with the incredible silliness of the whole thing.

Date: 2002-12-09 08:10 pm (UTC)i've been to the star trek part of the casino. i'm not really fond motion simulator rides these days (the past few years, my inner ear hasn't liked them. hopefully this is just a temporary thing), so i haven't been on the ride itself.
i will have to take a look at the aliens i see next time i'm in there. i *think* it's an urban myth, but one never knows. :-)
